From a purely fellowship placement perspective, especially with respect to Cardiology, could any of you offer some commentary in comparing the following Internal Medicine programs:

Georgetown vs U Iowa vs U Wisconsin-Madison vs Indiana U vs U Minnesota?

Any insight would be helpful.

Well, I interviewed at GT for IM Residenc, and I wouldn't reccomend going there if you are interested in cardiology. Their card's division is falling apart. Almost half of their cardiology faculty are leaving this year, and they recently had their privelage to do invasive angioplasties taken away from them meaning that they have to ship out patients who rule in for MI. That's gotta be embarrassing, working at a major academic medical center and then having to transfer your patients to another hospital when they have something as common as an MI. Medstar, the private company that purchased them (who they like to claim that they are "partnered" with) made the decision to withdrawl CT surgery privaleges over the heads of cardiology faculty and other faculty there.
