does anyone know of any IM residency programs in Texas, besides the osteopathic ones, that accept the COMLEX in place of the USMLE?????????? i am wanting to place somewhere in Texas, preferably Houston, in IM and I am debating on whether to take the USMLE or not. Anyone input is appreciated!

your best bet is to go to the IM department websites and read their individual requirements, and if not there, contact someone there directly. Moreover, I would even contact them if they say USMLE required, because some programs I contacted (not in Texas) were not familiar with comlex or hadn't changed that part of the website to reflect the fact that they *do* accept it.

Agreed. Contact each program individually. You might want to wait until after February when all the match stuff is completed.
