Being true to yourself

I think that this principle is fundamental to being happy. Last year has been stressful and frustrating..Taking 4 months of work to study for mcats..struggling to find a job..getting a 26 even after all those months of studying..and now sitting on umteen rejections isnt easy. However, I have learnt a lot this year. I have learnt to stand by my decisions and my principles. It has been a lesson on being humble and modest. Overall, I have learnt that no matter what happens I need to follow my passions...

White coat fanstasies..
That’s what I like to call them..
Some where in between here and now..
Caught between the crevices of what could be and what is…
I cant help but ask myself when will it happen
When will I actually step into the doors of a medical school..
As the rejection letters are piling up
I cant help but a feel jaded
Like in some way this whole process was all in vain..
All in a desperate attempt to find meaning..

living in the now

i have been struggling with this one for a while now..

always running so far..chasing a dream that often seems a bit out of reach and bit far..but there are times when i feel like i am almost there and can touch it...

so i have decided to come up with a new motto for my life which is to live in the now..a task i have failed miserably to do most of my life...

i have always been a dreamer..the type that thinks of opening future clinics...finding new cures......

still no interviews..only rejections..you would think that with each one it would get easier..but it doesnt..but thats ok..out of 43..i just need 1 to accept me..

im the meantime..i am trying to figure my life out..i quit my job last year to study for mcat full time....when i joined the job market back in may..i tried to apply for jobs again..

i thought i found the perfect one that was medically related and the job description indicated that this individual would want...

received one from tcmc and gtown!

ah well..wut do you do..

submitted drexel and tech..now simply waiting for wayne state and im all done!!

8 rejections thus far..maybe the later part of the cycle will bring some luck..till then i think im going to study for gre's and apply to some grad progams and then at a later point reapply..

im sure wtvr god has decided will be best for me...

i am considereiing retaking the mcat for the next cycle..but...

Dealing with rejection

i think my count now is 8 out of 44 thus far..i am certain more rejections will come in..
but each one is hard..

i am trying not to internalize it...

i think i gave it my best shot this cycle and if i dont get in even in 1 place..i will apply to a few postbacc and grad programs..

we will see what the future holds for me..

i am sure whatever will happen will happen for the best..

however..i hope studying full tiem for mcats...

application update

it has been hard writing this app season..it just feels like the applcation is such a private thing that it is hard to discuss..

however, i think it is important to let it all out and less the load on my heart..

so my status so far...

i decided to apply to 44 schools..and yes you may call me crazy sinnce my starts were horrendous wiht a 3.5 and a 26 but i figure my chances are slighlty higher the more schools i apply to...

thus far i have finhshed...

I just got screened in for University of Toledo and VT..I am especially excited for VT since it would be instate for me!! I am very very excited! I am just going to be positive and happy from now on!! I feel like whatever will happen, will happen for the best..and I have faith in myself..in god..in the universe so im going to think positively, work hard and move forward!!

whether it came to school..jobs..grad school..

i did everything and anything to keep things under my control..but the more i live..the more i realize how little is really in our control..

we can do our part and that is all..
