Finding Jobs in Nuclear Medicine

Hello,

Where do I find jobs for Nuclear Medicine physicians. SNM has only a few. How do I go about looking for one. Can you please advise.

Thanks,

Hi there,
I had the same question. Are you done with your NM residency? I know that the jobs for a NM specialist are few and far apart. You may have openings at universities. Private jobs are rare. If you need visa sponsorships NM is probably not the field for you.
I would love to hear from someone who has finished residency and has a job now. I may be completely wrong. But this is what I could gather from my preliminary research.

Jobs

MD DOC:

The first step in looking for NM jobs is obviously checking out SNM and ACR websites. In addition, I would recommend buliding strong networking skills during your residency. A great many NM jobs (particularly in private practice) are not advertised and only found by word of mouth. Also, try to befriend your local radiopharmaceutical reps/camera sales people...they often know of potential openings before they become public.

While NM has historically been a predominantly academic based specialty, there are definitely jobs out there in private practice. I should know, I am in PP.

In my country [Thailand]
There are both academic and pravate job but in few position.
You have to be famous and great experience enough to get a private job.
