I think Taylor Swift is kinda funny lookin to be honest

I think it's her eyes....
there's something weird about her to me too

But I do think she looks pretty w/ straightened hair vs curls

I kind of feel like she plays the pity card (w/ that Kanye stuff). I mean she was popular before, but now she just started winning tons of awards after Kanye's thing.... idk it just seems like it to me people feel bad for her

The eyes are the big thing for me. She looks like she squinting all of the time.

In that second photo, she reminds me of the high end hookers I saw at waikiki beach in Hawaii.

Ya know what, screw NBC. I just read what they've done to Conan since he left.

But to me, she's a really pretty girl :)

Normally the equations for attraction are ...

Women want: Status x (Intelligence + Humor + Looks)
Men want: Looks x (Intelligence + Humor + Status)

For bob, it's ...

Looks ^ (1+Intelligence + Humor + Status)

Causing a disproportionate number of "pretty girls" for bob

See? Someone out there agrees with me

Yeah I agree with Chebs... we didn't say she wasn't pretty (at least I know I didn't) but most of us agree that we personally don't find her ultra-super attractive.

I agree with Nicole, just because I personally don't like the curls that much, they sort of remind me of Shirley Temple... and I get what Phathead is saying about the squinting too. It reminds me of the cat-like eyes on the Avatar movie. I feel bad saying this because she does have a cute girl next door kind of look and she seems like a great person and singer, but I pretty much have to go with the crowd on this one.

LMAO

I am about to eat chipotle for lunch! Yum! Then it is off to hit the biochem book to finish my homework that is due this evening: have to read a whole chapter and answer questions. Damn, I don't usually procrastinate like this. Bleh.

It is a beautiful day today...I wish I could spend all day outside. Perfect weather: sunny, light breeze, 70 degrees, birds chirping lolol this is the life :) but I will be envious of all of you come summer when my shoes could melt to the asphalt haha

Hey guys, I got my camera yesterday and have been having so much fun! I didn't know you are not allowed to take pictures in Jewel. I was asked by a manager to stop lol. Anyways, for anyone who wants to see some of the pics, here you go.

MMMMMMMM I loveee their burritos. Too expensive though :(

rxlea 03-04-2010 01:01 PM

My formula:

2(Intelligence + Humor) x (status + looks) + 2(practicality + moderate values) - (arrogance/narcissism + pessimism) - 1235(fundamentalist religious crap)

The latter is because I once dated a girl who was Mormon. We fooled around but she still wanted to be part of the church or whatever. She had a son out of wedlock and I helped her take care of him and we got attached to one another. I loved her dearly, but she just couldn't let go of being Mormon. Why? I have no ****ing clue since she was obviously gay and happy doing stuff with another gay girl. So, we played the whole push-pull game for a while before I got sick of it and moved on. She is probably going to get married to some Mormon dude and later in life she will pull some ****ed up **** and it will break up a family. I HATE when people can't just accept who they are and have to play some sort of game in order to please society. It's lame.

I want Sonic Drive-In and Popeyes... :( Maybe there will be some in Atlanta?

I have to write 3-4 pages on business law questions, analyze two business ethics cases, revise a group paper on the ethics of employee internet monitoring, study for a final exam on 21st Cent. Management, and write a 6-8 page paper on Value Driven Management... then I have to check on my Hay Infusion for Micro lab, write an A&P lab on the vascularity and healing process of connective tissue, and go to work at Publix. I have a couple days to finish some of it though... = )

It's a really nice day here tooo... 60 degrees and dropping to 53 overnight :) I love wearing sweatpants and drinking hot coffee in my cold room while I study. I'm weird. haha

I don't really care about a guys status... am I weird? I care more about compatibility. I used to care more about looks too, but now I don't care as much. As long as they are a healthy weight and take care of themselves it's not hard to look nice... I don't really care if they're super ripped or muscular... and it's not hard to be way taller than 5'2". lol I have a thing for really tall guys, but it's not a requirement. lol

I like smart guys who like to talk a lot and don't run out of things to say in a long car ride or having dinner. They have to be nice too... I always judge a guy on how he treats his mother... is that weird? I found that guys who are nice to their moms normally have high respect other girls as well. LOL

Have you ever read "Sex Talks to Girls" by Maureen Seaton? It was pretty good... I read it for a class in undergrad because she is a professor at my school.

My dad has a DSLR or whatever those things are called. LOL He does virtual tours for real estate sometimes so he has a bunch of high tech photo/video stuff. They are scary though because they zoom in so far you can be like 50 yards away from someone and zoom right in on them and take pictures without them knowing. He took pictures from up in the nose bleed section at my college graduation of me joking around down in the chairs waiting to walk with my diploma and I didn't even know.

It's the Internet. +pissed+ I call several un-moderated sites home and they're all like this, lots of people get a thrill out of being able to stay shocking and ridiculous things they'd probably never have the guts to actually say in real life.

Yeah, at this point and time status is only 1/10 of my equation because quite frankly idc but it's still in the back of my mind. I don't want a bum or someone w/ no drive waiting to cash in their welfare check ;)

Healthy weight is ideal. I get immediately turned off by people with bad skin and overweight people. I think people should be able to take care of themselves before they can worry about another person.

Mmmm tall guys. Sadly, the type of guys that end up being compatible with me are normally just inches taller which is dumb b/c i'm not always wearing flip flops around them. I wish more tall guys were the "whole package".

COMPLETELY agree on the last part. A guy who disrespects women (esp. his mom is a dbag in my book).

You guys might say that now but it plays a bigger role in your subconscious judgments than you realize. I think status is only in the back of your mind until you actually really encounter it.

Status/success is hella important :) thankfully I'm with someone that is pursuing higher degrees. If I was single, I wouldn't date anybody who didn't have a professional job/occupation. In other words, I would only consider people with Masters level degree and above or that has a bachelors that is useful (like in business finance, management, engineering, CIS, etc). I know I sound like a douche saying that, but I'm just being honest. Call it elitist or superficial or whatever LOL

What are they protesting? Everyday, there is a group of people outside the planned parenthood with "stob abortion now" signs. They literally stand there all day and glare at any woman going in or out of the office. Don't they have anything better to do? LOL

I hope those protesters are standing out there for something meaningful

I find it funny that they don't feel safe on campus meanwhile for 4 years I've been yelled at by Jesus people on library walk, called a ****, an abomination, told my parents are ashamed of me (which they aren't) and other crap and basically told I'm going to hell and the school is like OH freedom of speech not **** we ...can do about it. So I swallow it and go on, because what the hell else can be done, then there's a cookout, a JOKE and all of the sudden the school gives a **** and things spin THIS far out of control. I've never whined I needed protection a night from people, this is way out of hand.

qft. There's at least one Jesus person on library walk a week shouting how we're all going to hell.

wow, i swear the nerve of some people.... so hypocritical. i have no problem with religious people or people of no religious denomination, but when people try to shove religion down my throat or scientific BS that's where i draw the line. isn't there a happy medium anywhere in this world? where you can just go along with everyday life without the hassle of having to hear people "disagree" with what you wear for example or how you act?

crazybob 03-04-2010 05:03 PM

I have no problem with religions nuts. All they do is stand and shout in public places. I have a problem with the BSU.... blocking traffic, storming the chancellor's office with masks, rioting in my lecture hall, storming the blackboard and erasing our notes, etc etc etc. They're acting like big babies.... well, I guess now they're acting more like academic terrorists ...
