This semester was horrible. Senioritis coupled with acceptance to your top choice pharmacy school = slacker status.

no, it's these retarded pre-pharms. it's like a magic fairy came over them, sprinkled fairy dust, and they started going on and on about how fantastic the school is despite evidence otherwise.

the actual students there are fine...i know a few, but they made an educated/informed choice and knew the risks. These pre-pharms are in denial and think the school is the greatest thing since sliced bread to the point that they're twisting the available information. kind of funny, mostly sad.

Hmm, maybe the best you can do is make the information available to them and hope for the best. Brow-beating them doesn't seem to be working. :meanie:

I will never miss the walk to work in winter when I was in the Navy. Our carrier almost always had one parked next to it, so on days when it was snowing and chilly, it was like walking through the wind tunnel of death.

I'm not sure about the Vietnamese but there was this restaurant in Miami that served Thai iced coffee with tapioca pearls... OMG SOOO GOOOOD.

I've seen this (only with tea) at the vietnamese resturant I occasionally frequent.

Frankly I'm suspicious of any drink that has stuff floating around in it.

I was going to say the same thing! I loved how the straws were wide enough for the tapioca pearls to go up the straw with the coffee :D

i kind of miss lollicup, don't know if you've ever been there (small chain in CA...dunno how far out it got)...that stuff was sweet as hell, not like the typical milk tea/taro milk tea i get. they had some weird blueberry slush thing but i remember getting their mango flavor...it was halfway between a slushie and straight milk tea.

does anyone know what i'm talking about?



and on a side note, i'm loving the paragraph long bits of anger i'm getting from pre-pharms accusing me of being lonely/too dumb for pharm school. you guys should check it out :laugh:

I mentioned it before...this board is entertaining (and educating...so....edutaining?), I think people just get bent out of shape and aren't funny anymore and start talking about things they clearly don't know anything about.

I mean, I'm a total a-hole, but if you notice my posts...I'm definitely not when it comes to things I don't yet know about (see posts to upper years + residents re: pharm stuff). I'll rip into you if you start bastardizing terms & ideas that I'm intimately familiar with.

Oh well...good times, I replied back in that thread (a reply that actually helps the image of that school, go figure). One day we'll all meet up at midyear under a secret code word and have a beer or three :thumbup:

Lol, I didnt! I went to the gym after working 10 hours. Now I am just tired and have no desire to go out. I work again tomorrow at 9. Boss and his sister decided to go to out of the country, so I am covering my hours + a full timers. I have 56 hours till next Sunday. Pretty sweet huh? This is my time to rake up the cash before pharmacy school starts next September =)

Sickest invention ever! I want to go on a eurotrip the summer before school. I dont think ill have to pay for that though..but ill def have spending cash while im there. Im basically working to have money while in school so I can be as comfortable as possible, which is important to me.

You may not realize it now, but you definitely will when you are in school. There have been so many times this semester when I could hang out with people, buy stuff I wanted, and go on trips because I had money saved up from working.

People who didn't have much money had to spend that time working and not being able to go.

Oh, and I didn't have to worry about what I was going to eat for lunch everyday. People who are short on money or worry about it tend to pack their own lunches with something cheap. I personally don't think I could do that everyday.
