We're asked to send in a letter of to state we are accepting their offer of acceptance along with attached forms. There is no deposit right? And this is non-binding come May 15th, correct? Thanks for the help.

Neon Golden 01-13-2012 04:05 PM

I'm also curious about this. I interviewed Jan 6 and was admitted 1/11. I like RWJ but I'm waitlisted at my top choice. Does anyone know the date a deposit is due? What if, hypothetically, my top choice were to accept me in June, but there is a binding agreement w/ RWJ in May?

How was that "accepted students thing" today ?

Can someone please share his / her experiences..

(i would also like to know how many are already accepted)

adammm 01-15-2012 11:14 AM

Does anyone who was interviewed mind posting any insight/advice about this MMI formatted interview? Any insight would be very helpful! :)

It went really well I thought. It started off with a financial aid presentation. Then tours of the hospital with current students who were really helpful and answered a lot of questions. And then there were several speakers who were basically trying to "sell" the school to us. As far as the number of people there, I'd say about 100 but thats just a rough estimate

Thanks.. so where was this held.. on the medical school campus and then they took you to the hospital ? 100 sounds like they have already accepted a lot of students..

do you know if they are doing this again once they have given out all their acceptances ?

Just curious, have any out-of-staters received an interview invitation?

DhPDM 01-16-2012 04:28 PM

Has anyone who interviewed for MD/PhD received an acceptance or rejection?

Freigeist 01-17-2012 11:14 AM

just got an interview invite!

In-state

SabrinaEstrella 01-17-2012 02:20 PM

I received an interview invite today. I was complete 7/22, in-state. I thought I got rejected!!!! I am interviewing on 1/30 group 3. Anyone else interviewing that day?

Also when is the next time RWJMS will be giving out acceptances?

estradiol9 01-17-2012 06:33 PM

Does RWJMS have an early decision program?

I don't see anything on their website discussing one but NJMS does? Also, MSAR online says they do not but I found this on their website:

Do you accept early decision applications for MD/PhD?

No. You CAN apply early decision to RWJMS using the MD/PhD application via AMCAS. However, only the MD portion of your application will go through the early decision process at RWJMS. The MD/PhD process is separate, as indicated above, and the MD/PhD program will assess your application with all other MD/PhD applicants.

SabrinaEstrella 01-17-2012 07:29 PM

Does anyone have any good links about how to prepare for the MMIs? I am super nervous and I don't know what to expect.

MagnoliaWine 01-25-2012 12:27 PM

Frick, so many people who interviewed on the same day as me have already heard decisions.... frick frick frick.

Johnny99 01-26-2012 05:56 AM

It looks like the Rutgers merger is a sure thing. I think this will be a great thing for us: http://www.nj.com/news/index.ssf/201...ng_of_njs.html

ppfizenm 01-26-2012 06:41 AM

Anyone know how the waitlist movement is here?

neuroengineer 01-27-2012 05:45 AM

Anybody knows when is the last interview day here ?

... end of February ?

ryanjt 01-27-2012 02:48 PM

I have an interview here Feb 10th. Any one else interviewing then?

I got the invite back on Dec 20th.. I could choose between Jan 30th and Feb 10th date to interview. I was complete..god.. way back in late July. I would have never guessed I wouldn't be interviewing until Feb 10th, but I was thrilled to get the invite, I love this school.

Kind of bummed to hear they've already accepted so many people (but congrats to you all!), but I guess if they're still interviewing then they're still accepting.

Same here! I submitted the secondary in July and heard back like 3 weeks ago. I am interviewing the 30th though. Good luck! I hope we get in! :)

Same here! I'm very excited, best of luck! I am scheduled for Feb 10th group 3, what group are you in?

SabrinaEstrella 01-31-2012 11:55 AM

The MMIs are seriously not as bad as I thought! They give you an opportunity to talk about other stuff that is not on your application, which is nice. Best of luck to you guys.

The admissions committee will be meeting next Tuesday so I hope many people hear back!!

;D

thanks for the info! is this just like one station where you talk about misc. stuff/your application or is it something outside the whole station scenario?

When you arrive, there will be a 2 hour session where some students and an admissions representative will tell you more about the MMIs.

There are 7 stations, 6 scenarios and one is an open station, where you can talk about anything you want.

GOOOOD LUCK!

I think they will re-evaluate "very competitive" category once they are done interviewing. I believe they are interviewing until the end of this month. So I am hoping they will get back by early march !!

MagnoliaWine 02-08-2012 12:15 PM

I interviewed late December and haven't heard a thing. :( I don't believe this bodes well for me, but might someone be able to give me some hope?

Well, think of this way, they may just email you and not call you :D
and your chances 50%!! thats 2x better a chance than what you can get in Atlantic city :D

No idea yet. I'm still waiting to hear back from a few more schools. It depends on the finaid package. I know some schools give out merit scholarships. so hopefully rwood wants to give me some money also.
