1 year CCM fellowship positions and..

I wanted to know about 1 year ccm fellowship spots, when i look in freida i find the ccm only spots, but not all of them do 1 year track, and they are not very fast answering emails.
Any idea where to find a list of the programs that have the 1 y ccm track avalable? tried CCM society page and no luck( maybe i overlooked?).

And another thing, how competitive are those programs( im coming from ID)? what is looked more?
ive heard PMC is where everybody wants to go.
Not much info online guys!
Please help!:scared:

If you have already completed an IM fellowship (like ID), you can enter any of the 2 year IM-based CCM fellowships, complete in 1 year, and then be eligible to sit for boards. Some progreams that come to mind are: Mayo, Cleve clinic, Wake, PITT, OHSU, Stanford. Good luck!

This is something I'm interested in too. I know of a few people who did ID then CCM, but they're either older docs who work in a rural area or in academia. How feasible is ID/CCM outside of academia these days? It does seem like critical care is all Pulm/CCM these days.

Thanks!
Ive emailed some of them and some have replied as not having a one year spot available, perhaps they run into scheduling issues for the second year... or they are thinking of that new 50 bronch requierement for board eligibility that is coming up for ccm without pulmonary ( stupid requirement if you ask me! i would never do that even if certified, thats what pulmonologist are trained for! no offense :).

Ill keep on searching and will keep you guys posted.

I Have met a few ID/CCM, working in private practice and academia alike. you could work anywhere an id or ccm guy is needed, if you are board cert, theres no difference whatsoever between a 2 y ccm trained fellow and a 1 y ccm after another fellowship, as far as i know.
