I have heard from other vet students that their schools offer very little instruction on successfully running a business within their DVM curriculum. Maybe a single class and some elective seminars that nobody seems to attend. Personally, I am extremely interested in the business aspect of veterinary medicine and learning about the various models and ideas that one can apply to their practice. I really don't see how you can separate the business from the medicine itself.
I could be wrong but I thought most of the schools have "clubs" that usually include one about the business side of things. Maybe it's just the vet schools I visited personally??
I mean for people like me who are very interested in owning our own practices one day, I agree that it's not sufficient, but it's something at least.
