There are typically 3 weeks of material in a block and then you take the block exam on a Monday morning or afternoon.

I think the block exam format works pretty well in making you store material in your long term memory. Vice the binge and purge method that comes with testing every other day or every couple of days.

It also allows you to manage your time a little bit better and you start to know when you can and can't take breaks.

In regards to cumulative exams...OTM is really the only "cumulative" exam and that begins in like quarter 2 or 3. The other cumulative exams just sound challenging but in reality most of the questions will probably come from the quarter you're taking (so thus, nothing to fret over).
