How so? NYU has one of the largest and most diverse patient populations of any dental school. They are, in fact, the largest dental school, period. Or do you mean from the perception of the name? I'd say people, superficially, are more inclined to think highly of NYU than Mississippi.
You misunderstood me. I'm not talking about your opinions of which dental schools are "good" or "bad" or which ones you like and don't like. I'm talking about the way you spoke down to someone just because of where they lived. It may have been in jest, but it was distasteful. And if you still want to say, "I don't speak as though I am holier-than-thou," you just admitted that you were self-righteous. What do you think self-righteous actually means?
Too late, it seems!
You're looking at out-of-state tuition, which isn't exactly the best parameter. Two of those schools essentially accept zero OOS applicants. Sort by in-state/private tuition and the top four most expensive schools are private, and the highest average matriculant GPA you see is 3.45.
Why are you putting words in my mouth? Did I call you narcissistic? Did I say you look down on people with low GPAs? Is this some sort of defense mechanism, or a series of Freudian slips?
That's true, I apologise.
... yeesh. Anyways, I personally think high tuition --> lower average GPA still holds true in a general case, with some exceptions (OOS tuition, ivy league schools). We can agree to disagree. You can have the last word about this holier-than-thou thing, if you'd like. I'm just saying it was wrong of you to speak that way in the first place, and that the website you quoted doesn't exactly reveal anything people here don't know, nor does it debunk the GPA/$$ pattern.

Bottom line is that people based all their opinion off their personal experiences, people's stories on forums, and regional biases. You're never going to get a straight answer. Good luck trying to find it though.

This post is . I agree. I asked if bad d-schools exist. Not for the worst. Now that I know bad doesn't exist, we're good to go.
