Life happens. We can't all be gunners. There are some people in my class failing therapeutics and med chem right now. They'll have to retake the year if they fail. No remediation for those classes. Had a classmate remediate ID first year- he had to take a comprehensive final that was 10x harder than ours. Another decided to drop out because he had four kids and a full time job...he wasn't lazy at all. One got sick and got held back a year.

I can see what Karm is saying though. some people are total slackers. I HATE doing group work with them. They skate by doing the minimum and the rest of us pick up their slack so we don't get dinged on our grade. It's lame.
