Yep, in 2008 APA stopped accepting new Canadian applications for accreditation of graduate and internship programs, though programs accredited before 2008 could apply for 7-year reaccreditation up until 2015 (http://www.cpa.ca/education/accredit...adianprograms/). That is the reason for the massive number of Canadian sites leaving. CPA is supposed to be equivalent to APA, and the ASPPB have agreed, though apparently this isn't always recognized by American sites.

As an aside, does anyone know the story of why University of Manitoba was on probation? I know the university doesn't have the greatest reputation, at least according to Maclean's rankings, but this was still surprising when compared to the mostly FPSP up there.
