Not sure why you think studying should be like the exam. Who here studies a few pages of cardio, then a few pages of neuro, then a few pages of GI, then a few pages of renal? Most people studying study systems in their entirety to learn. Otherwise, doing qbanks are pointless since you've essentially not finished a single subject for a month.
Also, DIT may be better after you've finished FA once, but that certainly isn't how it's advertised. I haven't used it yet, but I know many who use it for their first pass through FA and nowhere on the DIT website or promotion materials does it say not to do that or that it's meant to be done for a second pass.
