Hi, I just spoke with ECFMG regarding status of registration of USMLE for my wife and they have informed me that according to Indian Ministery of Health and Medical Council of India, Kasturba Medical college has been recommended for de-recognition. I'm still trying to get more info on this...here are some links

this directly by ecfmg lists and corresponds to my conversation with ecfmg, that they will only certify those who have graduated till 2003. Just search for the school and it will say something like graduation years, 1955-2003. ECFMG say's that they just recieved this notice a few weeks ago..

this is the medical council of india web page, if you search for kasturba medical college, its says "recommended for de-recognition"...
so, as of now, i dont' know what's going on...please share any info...i'll be calling india shortly and i'll keep you updated...i hope its something small..
