CLL - noted in FA to have warm Ab autoimmune hemolytic anemia... IgG right?.... Well, it also says that there are no antibody-producing B cells. To further that - it's known that virgin B cells don't go on to make plasma cells, resulting in hypogammaglobulinemia, where 50% patients die of infection.

What gives - how is there a IgG hemolytic anemia with no plasma cells?

Thanks.

The bottom of page 211 in Goljan RR Pathology says "4. Immune hemolytic anemia (IHA) Example - cold type IHA in chronic lymphocytic anemia". So, is it warm or cold AIHA for CLL?
