Hi: If you are not certificate veterinarian technician: Don't worry, you can work as a tech. The only thing you need to know is to convince the clinic you apply for that you are able to perform: lab work, withdrow blood, put iv catheters and inhalation anesthesia. I worked as a tech for about 3 years and I quieted to study for the navle, and I'm still studing, I failed last Dec but I'm gonna pass in April. My advice: Don't be discourage, it takes time but you will get your liscence, step by step.
