I came across a power point presentation given by the chairman of the Columbia ENT program with data from the 2000-2007 match that will answer most of the OP's questions. Some of the highlights from the presentation include data from the 2006 match: a median step 1 score of 239, 38% AOA, 77% with publications, and 94% with research projects.
