Almost everyone in my intern class took it in the middle/late part of the year.

I'll echo what others have said, as a surgery resident there's no good reason to put it off. The material is predominately OB,FM, peds type stuff that you aren't going to be exposed to as a surgery resident anyway. You can be assured of forgetting this material the further away you are from med school.
