Hello everyone, I just got accepted to Texas Tech and the school wants to me to sign an agreement and a placement fee. I am currently still waiting on two other schools for admission. If I were to get accepted to another school, how does the process work. Can anyone share their experience or offer any advice. Thanks!

im pretty sure the deposit fee for holding your spot is non refundable. If you havent heard from the other schools yet I would put the deposit down if you could unless you would rather attend one of the other programs and know for a fact that you will be accepted. The last thing you want is to bypass a deposit and not get in to the other schools

I have been accepted to Texas Tech as well. I've also been accepted to UT Southwestern. I sent in my acceptance letter and deposit to both schools. I asked the coordinator at UT Southwestern how it all worked and he told me I just needed to notify them if I decided not to go there before March 1st. Texas Tech said I didn't have to let them know for sure until May!
What did you think about Texas Tech? And what other schools are you hoping to get into? -Janelle |

Some schools are really nice with letting you have a few extra weeks. I would call the school and see if you can get an extension

Well congrats! I didn't get into TWU at all. But I didn't really want to go there so I guess it worked out. Odessa is pretty far away! If you get accepted to UTMB will you go there instead?

Some schools have partially refundable deposits. It should saw one way or the other in your letter/contract or just ask them. Agree, don't give up a for sure seat.
