prelim. surgery (as a non-surgeon)

Hi,

I matched into Radiology and will be doing Prelim. Surgery for my intern year. My intern year schedule is fairly diverse in terms of surgical services (General, Vascular, Trauma, SICU, and others). Does anybody have any book recommendations for the year as well as general tips/advice for having a good year? It seems like I will be having very little, if any, OR time.
