Yes. The person who does it as a fellowship will also be a BE/BC internist and can work either in Primary Care or hospitalist work (plus all the other options available for a general internist) as well as Prev Med. The person who does a PM residency can only do Prev Med.
That said, most people who do Prev Med do it because they want little/no clinical interaction although this is not a universal truth. |
