You will need at least a 31 to be somewhat competitive at lower-tier MD schools. With a low GPA, very low BCPM, and low MCAT, you wouldn't really have a chance. I am sure that you can pull your MCAT up if you follow the extensive advice found on this forum! Good luck on test day.
Did you have a huge turnaround in grades? For example, when you came back at 100% did you start getting a lot of A's (3.7+ GPA). This could be very helpful in your situation (almost necessary). If you have not had a huge turnaround, you might want to think about a masters program. You need to have at least some proof you can handle a rigorous education. Your other option would be to pursue DO. A 3.3/27 would be competitive for mid to lower range DO schools. Remember, whether MD or DO, you will still be a physician. |
