Yea, so I asked this in the FA thread, but are these files stream-only are can they be downloaded?

I know its annoying, but I'm driving/walking my dog alot and i listen to audio quite frequently, and my experience has been less than great thanks to AT&T with streaming content. Thanks!

Day man - all of these file are completely downloadable. That is USMLE audio mp3 files for you iPod, iPhone, MP3 player, iPad or computer.

In fact, I have had several discussions with people in the multimedia USMLE review world, and Apollo's stance is always the same. The more portable a resource is, the better. For example, if you can sit down at a computer at a desk to watch an online streaming lecture - you might just decide to use a "book" instead. On the other hand, the real advantage of USMLE audio reviews from ApolloAudioobooks.com is that they are totally portable.

As a ophthalmology resident, I too spent a ton of time walking the dog and on the subway. I always turned on a review MP3 to fill my "down" time so I didn't feel that it was wasted time. Any of the Apollo titles found at The Apollo Storefront are totally downloadable, portable, go-with-you-anywhere MP3s!

In Apollo's Free USMLE Audio and our other audio products, the speaker is a usually a physician with a couple of PhDs thrown in. There are some audio products out there that large medical publishing companies have released where they use "professional voice talent" in other word voice actors who are not physicians or PhDs. Thus there are a ton of mispronunciations that makes the programs very frustrating for students to listen to. We use real physicians and PhDs to do our audio voice work to minimize these errors.
