How do you guys plan on packing suits and dress shirt?
+1Buy a suit bag to take with you on the plane as a carryon/personal item

All airplanes that have first class will have a small closet to store your suit, regardless of if you have first class seats or not. I gave the suit bag to them as soon as I entered.
Southwest doesn't have first class, so you need to put it on top of the carry on luggage space above the seats.
So to be safe I should buy a garment bag? They cost like 50 bucks. Anyone knows any cheap brand? I did some search on amazon and it seems like 50 bucks is on the low side already.
light grey suits?
light grey suits?
I have seen people pull them off. However, I'm more of a traditional guy and my top choice/recommendation would be navy blue.
What's wrong with light gray suit? I am gonna go with black. I read the old thread and it seems like everybody wants to go navy. What's the reasoning behind that?

Black is way to formal. Navy blue and charcoal are the standard interview and business suits.
Well we should make thread to gauge the accepted rate of navy suit vs. other colors. Anyway I can't afford another suit at the moment so I am gonna take a leap of faith and stick with black.I've heard navy people tend to trust people in blues... funny how colors effect us.
What about like a navy jacket with khaki pants? Too informal? I'm just thinking walking around El Paso, or anywhere in TX for that matter, in August in a charcoal suit is going to be incredibly uncomfortable... break the shades out
I got this last week. It fits 2 suits, and basically everything else you need for 1-2 days, and it's small enough to be a carry on.So to be safe I should buy a garment bag? They cost like 50 bucks. Thanks. It looks great.I got this last week. It fits 2 suits, and basically everything else you need for 1-2 days, and it's small enough to be a carry on.
Hmmm what about for a black male, I would think that a black suit would be too Men In Black-ish. How bout a grey suit? Any thoughts?

Gonna say that I disagree. I hate navy suits... charcoal is OK I guess.
But black suits are awesome. No matter what. You break it up with a white shirt and a nice tie.

I say this coming from working at a mens suit/professional clothing store for a number of years and working some summers in a big company. Black is too formal. Its meant for weddings, banquets, dances, etc. In the business world, older interviewers are set on this paradigm. You just have to play their song and dance to be safe.
+1...Any thoughts on what tie color would be good? I'm thinking of a red tie stripes with white. Any other thoughts?
Either way, I own something like 5 suits of my own. 4 of which are black-type suits.
In all honesty, if you look professional enough, it doesn't matter what color the suit is really. They aren't going to accept/reject you based on the pinstripe of your suit. Then again, someone may invent subliminal messaging within pinstripes, and then neurotic pre-meds will come running... hmmmmmm
suits on suits on suits
I like anything purple on white etc. Or....
Agreed. I love pink ties as well on white shirts and black or grey suits but pink tends to be more for proms, weddings...etc and not more for an interview. I'm just debating on whether I should use a black suit with white shirt and red tie or a grey suit with a pink suit and white shirt like that of luda's in the picture. Any thoughts which is better?
Is that a yay or nay? T.I's suit looks a little loose, but Ludacrious' looks resonably well
Hahahaha Luda!
I think both will be fine. Just eenie meenie minie moe it.
Also... guys... this may sound odd. But for the love of god...
