Yes B. Leukocytosis is correct. Lymphocytosis is mostly seen with viral infections. Acte bacterial will be neutrophilic leukocytosis. So in this case the answer is B. Lekocytosis!

2.A
3.C
4.A reference plz
I am aware of the untoward effects of LA on myocardium...but when contrasted with general anesthetics, I am not sure which is more. Goodman and Gilman:
General anesthetic = The most prominent physiological effect of anesthesia induction, associated with the majority of both intravenous and inhalational agents, is a decrease in systemic arterial blood pressure. The causes include direct vasodilation, myocardial
depression or both, a blunting of baroreceptor control, and a generalized decrease in central sympathetic tone.

Local Anesthetics = Following systemic absorption, local anesthetics act on the cardiovascular system. Most local anesthetics cause arteriolar dilation.
Since the question does not speak about the use of vasoconstrictors or if LA is systemically absorbed, I would think the answer is B.
Do share any refs or reasoning for A.

5.B
Do they have a broader spectrum than penicillin>???

6.A
7.E
8.B Any refs?? this is unclear to me!
plz confirm

Do check my previous post...true LA WIT Epi can raise BP, but the question does not talk about LA with vasoconstrictors...

Your answers and efforts are much appreciated but i think it would be much more legible if we posted the question as well.

the questions are not numbered , and it gets confusing. A simple copy paste would be amazing!

thanks.

2. B Why not A - mA and filtration
Filtration will remove the unwanted low energy xray photons from the beam, thereby improving QUALITY. Qantity of radiation output will be related to time...moe time more photons!

3. A
4. E
5. E
I know B is correct. The rest are probably features of periodontitis. Any comments here?? As i remember right ... this was a controversial question as A and B options contradict each other...
true...but the options are different...A says barrier to bacteria themselves,,,which is true...while it is permeable to their products!
6. A Any ref. for air abrasion improving sealant retention.. i only read about etching ...
I think I read about this in sturdevant or decks...you should find it there...
My ans - Pg 6
Hope the above help!

and good luck to everyone!
