When to apply

I'm interested in applying for SGU starting in January of next year. Given that my stats aren't great, when is the earliest date/timing to apply to increase my chance? I know the deadline is Nov. 15, but I don't know how early is "early". What about for August?

I just finished my application for August. Now that SGU is accredited, it's possible that they will become increasingly competitive. A lot of people I think apply during February for August (which would be around July for January), but I've heard that it would be wiser to apply earlier since there may be more competition. I don't have any proof to back this up, but these are just things I've heard around the forum. If I were in your shoes, I would shoot admissions and e-mail and see what their opinion is. I'd probably plan on getting things ready around May-ish.

I didn't know SGU wasn't accredited before...

Yep, it just happened in October or November! I may be joining you in the January class, by the way!
