There is a facebook group where we have been talking about this stuff!! Join ! just search in Facebook "touro Nevada" and it should pop up. If not, the link is earlier in this thread ( around November)

When I called a week or so ago I was told the deans were meeting March 3. Which now seems peculiar to me since I thought the school was closed on Saturdays. If it in fact true, we should be hearing next week! Good luck guys! I interviewed on 2/13 too.

Letters were mailed yesterday!

I have been complete for a while now, with the last thing being a DO LOR which was submitted by Interfolio mid-January. I just received an email saying I was under review for an interview. Is this a generic email and when is the cycle over for interviews?

The people who chose to attend TouroNV, what things specifically attracted you compared to the other DO schools out there?

Good rotations, nice area, cheap housing. The staff there really seemed to want you to succeed, and the students all really enjoyed going there.

Also, my first acceptance!

I agree. I liked the fact that you can do all 4 years in Las Vegas without moving, plus there's some good residencies right in town, including ortho. I think there's over 15 hospitals and we're the only med school in the area. Weather and lots of sunshine is a huge bonus for 10 months of the year.

I just felt really welcomed there, clicked really well with the students and staff, and had a great vibe the whole time.

Very happy, just was invited for an interview on 4/2. I know it is late in the cycle, but without an interview the chances of admittance is 0%. Will anyone else be there then? Any recommendations as to which hotel to stay at? Also, I'm guessing renting a car is the best option?

Congrats on the interview. I stayed on the strip when I interviewed there, specifically the Excalibur... it was cheap and had a decent buffet!.. Public transportation is crap in vegas and taxis are pricey, if you stay on the strip renting a car sounds like the best option.

Thanks for the suggestions, I will look at that hotel, as well at the few they have special rates at. Not only is it great to interview, but a great excuse to go to Las Vegas. In terms of car rentals, is there parking at most of the hotels?

Pro-tip about Vegas: Parking is free EVERYWHERE. Go ahead and rent a car.

Fantastic, I'm from NJ outside of NYC an everything here has a cost, so that's a perk.

Thanks, unfortunately I'll be there after it expires, however the Wingate hotel corporate rate (it is mentioned in the interview invite email) is only $69. Great deal for such a nice looking hotel.

I was just talking to my fiancee, and I'm so stoked to be coming to Vegas! No attendance policies, no dress code, no school nannying, good match lists, fun city, cheap housing, lots of outdoorsy stuff, no exams for 6 weeks off at a time, collaborative student nature, lots of places to rotate through right in town, and MORE. It's like the diamond in the rough!

I feel the same way. I didn't know what to expect when I first got my invite to interview, but I was really impressed with everything TUCOM-NV offers- the faculty, staff, facilities. Interviewed one week ago, and really hope I get in.

I'm super stoked as well. I have grown up only five and a half hours away from Vegas so I've gone on a lot of vacations to Vegas and I love it. Touro is a good school and it will be really fun.

What's up everyone. I interviewed back in October. I was accepted to all 3 Touro's (CA. NV, NY). I agonized, searching for how to turn down the NY offer. But I am super glad I will be coming to Nevada. Weather, affordability, rotations, faculty/staff, and great people- this was a decision I know I will never regret. Keep it 100 people, and drop a line if you need a buddy for the coming semester ! ! ! !

just called the admissions office and letters for the 3/9 interview were sent out this morning.

Anyone know what the class size is for the DO program?

For anyone who will be interviewing on 4/2, when will you be getting in town and staying? PM works as well. Saturday late evening for me, at the Wingate hotel.
