ESPECIALLY if it's after a biochem test. I just had one Monday!! Got me a 95 (dunno how though. Basically crammed everything in one night and got 3 hrs of sleep).

I will go home tonight and drink in honor of us!

Best decision I could have made. He gets ridiculously stressed when he is away from me and makes himself more sick, so being in the hospital he was just declining. As soon as he saw me he slowly started to improve and it has been uphill ever since. He is my ET, I am his Elliot. We don't work apart as corny as that sounds.

Being in a sorority, you really CAN'T be an alcohol prude. It's just that over the years my body has a love hate relationship with alcohol. I can only drink certain things or amounts. It's really quite frustrating.

There could be no competition between us bc I'd already know who'd to place my bets on

I'm just getting back at you for your last pro con list! Time Warner being a pro indeed!

Good point. I will enjoy the name time warner, even if it does remind me of the name for an old dude who runs a library or is a miserable dean of a party school.

I cannot keep my eyes open in class today. I just keep nodding off no matter how hard I try to stay awake.

Woot! I won't find out my score for like 2.5 weeks (online course). Yet, I find myself incessantly checking for my score like 2 days after I take the tests lol!

I was supposed to get 2 fillings today. It turned into 3 and I moved my tongue too close to the drill. Now I have stitches under my tongue.

Yeah, it definitely sucks. I want the numbness to go away. I am starving and can't eat till all the numbing is gone. Trying to drink a strawberry smoothie I made and it is not a fun experience.

I understand the numbness thing. For about 2 hours after I had my wisdom teeth out I couldn't even feel my tongue. My mom had to crush my pain meds into powder and put them in liquid, and I still had to attempt swallowing about 5 times before I actually got it to go down.

That sucks. I have no ibuprofen in the house. Mouth is hurting, but numbness is gone finally. Baking some potatoes into healthy french fries.

You might be wishing for the numbness to go away NOW, but when it does, and you feel your drilled tongue, I bet you'll want it numb again

The drilled tongue is sore, but my teeth hurt a lot more. The fillings are all on the same side ( same with the stitches), so just the whole side hurts.

Ouch wldlfstdnt!!!!

Tried on a leather jacket today that was 275 euro and felt like butter! And then walked out of the store. I so wanted it, but I could never justify spending that amount of money on it. So I will just wish..... And since I will be in debt for the rest of my life I will probably never have that leather jacket.

In other news, the rest of my night will be spent f'ing around on the internet and randomly posting to threads - sorry in advance.

My new hobby - board games with the bf.

Not lame games like Monopoly or Sorry... but awesome games like Memior 44, Ticket to Ride, and Pandemic.

I know it is what will keep me sane through vet school!

So I guess on Good Friday in Ireland all of the pubs/bars close and so do all of the off-license stores. So very odd! Dublin just looks so bizarre with no pubs open. What the h#ll am I supposed to do on a Friday night?!?!

I am procrastinating from doing lab work... seriously, it's Friday afternoon of a holiday weekend and I think my advisor is the only one still here. The building is dead silent and my motivation to work has gone out the window.

Are you thread stalking me?! Since I cannot be at the pub tonight means I will annoy the cr@p out of everyone on SDN all night long between semi-studying. And don't worry if I need a drink I keep whiskey reserves in my flat.

Waiting to get off work... even though it was originally the first holiday I've had off since I was 15. Too bad stupid people call in to be jerk faces.
Anyway, now I'm sad bc I was gonna make the dogs and BF easter baskets like I do every year, but had to work all day yesterday suddenly, and now today .
I think I'm gonna go on my lunch and do it. Hopefully a few places are open with candy on sale!!!
I usually put gift cards and razor blades and socks for the BF (men are so easy!), always something chai tea latte-ish... He loves that shiz.

So many of you have been talking about Dream Zoo. I'm going to try to put it on my ipod. My ipod is kinda old so I don't know if it will be compatible. We shall see.

Edit: Nope, not compatible. My poor ipod touch is too old.

That's something I ran into as well. It's great that it still works but not when you can't use any of the new apps

I am currently obsessing about taking riding lessons this summer. Fortunately, no one is here to tell me I can't Unfortunately, no one is here to tell me I should get back to studying...

Studying for the two exams I have today. Neither of which I'm prepared for. As in- I have an exam at 9 am. I started studying about 4:15 am. My other exam is at 1 and even though I spent almost my entire weekend studying for it. I feel less prepared for it than the 9 AM one. Anyone else in that I just need to pass my classes/MASSIVE senioritis rut?

In other news I met a boy Saturday and he seems totally into me. So that's fun.

I totally don't have any motivation, which is bad for me. See I know I only need to pass, and I don't care about my classes, but if I don't do well (like less than high Bs) it gets me down because I know if I just put a little more effort into it I could easily get an A. That being said I have an immunology exam tomorrow and aside from reading the book on the plane two weeks ago I haven't studied.

Just got done with my epi/public health test. WTF would like our bonus question. It was "who is the dean of Virginia Tech's vet school and what is he famous for?" Yep, I got it right!

My favorite question: Which of these relationships is most like pornography.

and then the other question, where the answer was "dont lick the vulva."

Ya no... See my next exam is in Analytical Mechanics. I need to pass the class to graduate. That's it. My C- on the first exam left me with an A at midterms and believe it or not, I don't think a Newtonian Approach to Analytical Mechanics will be of much use to me in my career as a veterinarian (though maybe). Also, there's this sophomore in the class who literally got a 100 on the first exam (average was low 70s) he's the type of kid who hasn't learned that in the Physics department we share and reappropriate, so he absolutely refuses to help anyone else. It makes me sick. When he's a senior, he'll know better (or everyone will hate him).

I also was irresponsible and just bought myself "The Emperor's New Groove" as an instant-watch movie from Amazon. It was cheaper than buying the actual DVD, and I'm just going to watch it on my computer anyway, sooo....huzzah!

You know, I have NO idea if it is okay. I was supposed to watch out for bleeding (they fell out on Saturday while brushing my teeth) because that would indicate a problem. No bleeding so I am guessing it is okay. Also when I called to cancel, no one seemed concerned.

Oh the burger was the best. I needed one after the weekend I had in Yosemite. It was beautiful there, but the travels had drama.

I am trying to get small animal experience, it seems to be the one I can't get enough off. I have a couple of handfuls of it, but my experience is mostly wildlife and research.

That's funny. We're exact opposites.
I already got a call back from a wildlife rescue organization. I start volunteering there soon, rehabbing injured wildlife (bobcats! owls!)
Still trying to find research experience. Why so HARD?

I am currently sitting in my car watching two of my ewes lamb. I had another ewe have twins earlier! Yay for springtime and all the cute babies being born! Also laughing at my bummers chewing on their heat lamp (ouch?)...

From personal experience, best way to get research experience is go talk to the profs of the labs you want to work in OR better yet for more instant quick response go talk to grad students who's projects you are interested in (and are still in data collection phase). Most of the time they are always wanting extra hands! But it will take face to face leg work.

I also am not a bug person. Dealt with them in Invertebrate and got completely squicked out when the abdomen of one of my (previously dead) termites popped between my tweezers.
