We have winter intramural basketball league through a rec center in town. We play every Sunday night.

The school team is something totally different and we like to practice a couple times a week to get ready for the tournament in April.

There is def time to play sports, lift weights, and be active if you are good with time management FOR THE MOST PART. Obviously when you got two or three exams in one week you can kiss going to the gym goodbye.

I'll be there at this year's tournament again. You guys are going to love Miami in April. Good luck defending your championship. We finally have a big man and substitutes. I would up your practice schedule to 3x/week, lol.
See you soon.

Paulywog looking forward to meeting you at the tourney. It will be cool to finally put a faces to the SDN avators. Dtrack22 and myself have had this ongoing internet love affair for years but have never met each other. I'm looking forward to talking some trash and drinking some beers with you all during the weekend.

How are the female Barry students looking these days? I have high expectations.

If intramurals are your thing you will love it here. The leagues are very competitive.

Well its the 'burbs so there isn't much to see. After you are done looking at the school you might as well head to the city and do some site seeing.

Can't wait for the SDN reunion party in Miami! Is your lover dtrack coming? Intramurals at Barry are pretty tough. We play flag football, soccer, dodge ball, and basketball. These south Florida undergrad kids are athletic.

Just a few more weeks away. Bring your sunscreen and swimming trunks. You guys will have a blast. This tournament is well organized and more food will be provided and a good time is guaranteed.

Everyone at Scholl is very excited. This was a hot ticket this year and a lot of people tried out for the mens and women's team. We are all pumped to enjoy some warm weather, frosty beers, and beautiful babies (at least myself and the other guys).

Is the hotel right on the beach? Any bars and restuarants worth going to near the hotel? We all get in early Thursday morning.

I've never seen the hotel, but according to the address, you guys are right on the beach. After going to the last 2 tournaments, me and a few teammates talked about the pros and cons from each tournament and tried to put together the best tournament schedule possible. You are going to have a blast. Our Student body president did an excellent job setting up great meals and activities. It is Miami, of course there are bars and restaurants to go to near the hotel. Not sure if they are good or not. We have a lot of free meals planned and free transportation.
The tournament is set up to play 3 games on Friday to set the seeding for the tournament. Then a single elimination tournament on Saturday. Minimum 4 games for each team the 2 days. The schedule will be finalized soon and sent out to the schools. Hope the weather stays how it is and you don't bring the cold down this way. I have the window open while I am typing and getting a nice 70 degree 5 mph ocean breeze.

Prediction: Anklebreaker averages 11.2 points, 4.6 rebounds, 2.4 assists, and 0.8 blocks per game! Can someone tape the games and shoutcast them?

Since you're the fitness guru, in my mind you have a 45 inch vertical leap.

White men can't jump. Period. Plus I haven't been that fit lately. Podiatry school has been getting in the way of exercise.

The seeding for the tournament today are as follows:
1- Ohio
2- Scholl
3- Barry
4- New York
5- Iowa
6- Temple
7- Cali

Round 1: 4 beat 5. 2 beat 7. 3 beat 6.
Round 2: 4 beat 1. 2 beat 3
Final: 4 beat 2 (New York beat Scholl)

There were some great games and the competition was stiff. Now it is time for everyone to go clubbing tonight and enjoy the beaches the next couple of days.

Congrats winners! Time to hit South Beach

Did all schools represent? I'm not surprised AZ women's team was not seeded, they barely have enough women in the program for a basketball team

AZ and the SoCal school did not represent a men's team. AZ, SoCal, Cali, and Des Moines did not represent for the women

You didn't suit up and represent Western while you were there? Or are they live streaming the tourney now?
