The history of the WWorld has been filled with terrible losses mixed in with tiny glimmers of hope. For every enlightened leader like Friedrich the Great, there has been a Mad King George to bring us back down to reality. For every great mind like Leonardo Da Vinci, there is a Dr. Mengele, the Angel of death. Where has humankind gone wrong? Good and Evil existing side by side just does not seem to work out well. Maybe, just maybe, if one side was finally to prevail, then our future can proceed towards a unified goal.. But which side is better? Which side is stronger? Which side is more cunning?

It is with these questions in mind that a god does his work. He has the material of the world in his hands, and tries to shape it just right, to meet his goals. But there are GODS and then there are gods, and often times the real GODS have to work through an intermediary, someone they trust to do their bidding in the real world, in the name of good. You see, at heart, Your GOD is good, so he has decided to appoint an intermediary as his god with a little “g” to do what he can to help you on your journey.

And so it came to pass that the Mod God has appointed Nutmeg, as his representative in the battle for the world. Nutmeg is Zeus reincarnate. He has dominion over the entire world. As an IMMORTAL god he can not be lynched or killed. Have no doubt that Nutmeg is good right now. Why? Because I tell you so. As my representative, EVERY PLAYER may send PMs to Nutmeg. But as is befitting a god (even with a little “g”) he will not deign to write you back. But as he is good, all good players should PM him frequently, and all evil players, well do you want a god to know that you are not good by your inaction? That is for you to decide. Zeus will of course try to influence the decisions you make in a godly fashion. And because he is Zeus, he perhaps has some reason to assume mortal form from time to time and partake of the pleasures you mortals enjoy (if I only I could partake of pleasure myself right now).

You (mostly) all have been reincarnated to enact this ultimate battle of good and evil. You have received your roles and you are to play them to the best of your ability. But you find yourselves stranded around the world. As happens in war, we often find ourselves allying with those who share a similar fate. And so it is in this Battle for the World you embark on. Of course you want your good or evil side to win, but you may also find that you want your region to prevail at the end of the war. We all know that positioning among allies is almost as important as fighting our enemies.

And war also tends to move people around, and allegiances may change. So this may happen to you as well. Live with it.

So that is the basics of what you need to know.
Before I set you adrift to combat amongst yourselves I have a few further instructions:
1) As Zeus’ first official act as Leader of World he has kicked LissaRae out of Mount Olympus, his home, and moved her to exile in Asia. Sayonara LissaRae. Hope you like eating sushi.
2) In a completely surprising and out of character act of kindness, SOV has let Sooprnova enter the game in Europe (whoo hoo spring break in Europe). Perhaps that operation was actually to add a heart?
3) Carbon, who some of you may know from the lounge, and others may know in a much more personal way (y’all can figure that out on your own) has been invited to be an official troll, Balrog. She will be given extra liberties not normally bestowed on a guest troll in that she can comment on strategy, especially to mock Nutmeg.
4) You have to elect mortal leaders. The leader with the most votes is your President. The leader with the second most votes is your Vice President. The leader with the third most votes is CEO of WW Games Inc. You may NOT vote for yourself. You may NOT vote for anyone in your region. Don’t like it? Too bad.

Voting ends at 10pm EST. Night begins immediately following. If I am not around, I trust a few mortals can manage to add up to 29 on their own. If there is a tie, I ask Zeus on this rare occasion to announce on the thread his choice for which of the mortals names he prefers.

If you have any questions, please PM me now, not later. I have no guarantees about how available I will be later today.

Oh, No cheating. I am not kidding. I am in pain, and I want a fun, clean game. Don’t make me be the mean old man… And remember this is a game, let’s keep it civil, mean is ok, you know what I mean.
So review of basic rules for this game:
*You can only PM within your region (unless you change regions).
*You may PM Nutmeg at any time.
*Prez, vice prez, and CEO can PM each other.
*No POSTING of PMs from me or anyone else. You may paraphrase. You may not mock-post a PM either. If I see my exact words on the thread, you are kicked out. You may mock-paraphrase of course.
* No editing. Y’all should know that by now.
* SEND PMs EARLY. If you haven’t modded a game you should know how annoying late PMs are. Get them in early, send out contingencies if you aren’t going to be around. I oftentimes will move ahead without your PM. No one is more important individually than the movement of the game.
*Send me contingent votes if you like, this way you don’t have to miss voting.

So now we have to elect our leadership. It seems like we just vote for someone that we want and the leader roles are divvied up based on number of votes.

So if all days end/nights begin at 10PM, is there a set night end deadline, or will that just be announced as we go?

Ok. So since we can't vote for anyone in our own region or ourselves. Anyone in the other regions want to volunteer?

I have not set up a fixed schedule yet. I just can't commit, not knowing where I will be or how I will feel. I generally like short nights though, and will push things forward when I can. Please try to be flexible the first few days.

Also, I close elections early when a plurality is reached, and I close nights early when important PMs have been received.
