C'mon y'all...this forum has been kinda dead lately...even the whole Match Day thing was really surreal (unlike past years).

I never understood why Valerie didn't just give the master username and password for the DermBoard (or I guess now Derm Yuku) over to the people who were willing and nice enough to take over as moderators, and just continue it on the same forum since it started in 1999/2000.

Ah yes! I remember GiddyUp's story well. I always wondered which one of the R or O or A specialties of ROAD he/she ended up choosing, especially after the way, the PD was to him/her on the day of the Scramble. So glad he/she was treated much much better by those from other departments in a different specialty. It's Derm's loss.

It's a pity to me how Dermatology applicants are treated by their own home department, compared to those who apply in Radiology, Opthamalogy, Anesthesiology, etc. I can't help but think of Kelly Werlinger, who propelled the field forward both for residency programs and applicants through DIGA, which has become very huge now after her death, not to mention research and service projects, and in the end not matching.
