UMDNJ UCLA Parkland Houston San Antonio Jacksonville Gainesville Mayo Nebraska UNC I know there is some debate on whether to extern at places you are actually interested in versus those that will give you a stellar experience and give you something to talk about on interviews. What do you think?

setting the ones in Texas and Florida aside, applicants go to the other ones if they wanna match there. UCLA interviews ( if qualified !) twice! once for OMFS once for medical school.
Mayo sends its students to somewhere else for trauma ( jax i think) UMDNJ is supposedly good, according to my friend who goes to a d-school in NYC UNC is generous in its invites to ppl who externed there, good luck ! |

According to Mayo's website, they currently have no off-site rotations.

Not much. Everything I know is based on their website and the review on the SDN thread.
