+2 I keep coming back to this forum, because I feel like we're all family -- suffered through the same test. However, I see everyone freaking out about "what if I get a 30" and I'm laying in bed at night thinking "omg there is a possible chance I did not even get a 20...."

Honestly, I can't remember if I did the first orgo passage on BS. I just remember looking at it, saying Dfkjadfasdf!!!! marking the passage to come back later..... but now I don't even know if I went back to even guess at the questions.

You guys are lucky. School after school (6 so far) have eliminated me solely because I don't have a bachelor's, the others are griping about my course requirements being under a pharmacy degree. God ****ing damn it.

Whoaaaah what? You have a pharmacy degree and I assume you applied with an AA and got in and then decided you wanted to do medicine? They won't take you because you have a doctorate but no bachelors? That doesn't make sense...at all

Maybe I misinterpreted your situation but that's crazy

No, I was admitted straight from high school to pharmacy. Straight from diploma to doctorate, nothing inbetween, which they say can't exist.

Yeah, because I was good enough to get admitted straight from high school, but hey--I guess the people that make sure drug interactions won't kill your patient have inferior degrees to introductory bachelor's.

Not at all, I do it all the time. I already know I missed 2 questions. *Shrugs* Perhaps it helps. It's a somewhat cathartic process for me at least. Wait a week or two. Your life should be back to normal soon.

Yeah but i think pfaction goes to school in new york. No med schools in the US do that, only med schools in foreign countries have that policy (friend of mine had a 2.2 GPA in high school and went straight to "med school" in china. hardly any chance he'll be practicing here)

Ha my cousin always bitches about those I'm a doctor... in China! guys. The lab where he works gets all these "PhD's" and "MD's" from the diploma mills over there who don't know how to do anything.

He told me this really funny story about how this "PhD" from China worked in his friend's geology lab where the guy had some kind of machine jury-rigged to help in certain processes. This Chinese kid working in the lab kept asking him all these questions about it, and then like 2 months later he found out the kid published his design. LOL.

So...what are you guys planning to do if you need to retake? Since I'm only a junior I'm going to just reschedule for august and spend my summer doing research + hardcore studying. Now that I've gone through most of the material I can really hit my weak areas and hopefully do better IF I need to retake.

don't even wanna think about it...because this is a retake for me already, I'm a senior, I'll be in Wash U doing research all summer so I won't be able to do any studying until August--giving me no time to really study for the Sept. date...forcing me to take another year off...sooooo yeah let's all hope for the best for me

I did hear about this type of pharm program, but I though it was abolished long time ago, some time around 2003 if memory serves me right. So sorry to hear about this dude. So what's your plan now ?

0-6 year PharmD programs. You apply in highschool and if you are accepted you are admitted directly into their pharmacy school. The first 2 years are "pre professional years" where you take the pre reqs for pharm school, then at the start of your 3rd year you start "professional school" which means you are now a first year pharmacy student, and this goes on for 4 more years for a total of 6. The people in these programs don't get an undergraduate degree, they simply get a PharmD and thats it. He's pissed off because a lot of schools won't recognize his PharmD for their undergraduate degree requirement because it's a professional degree.

I'd love to think that the curve would be steeper. Who knows? It was definitely a tougher test than any of the AAMC practices, and I'd say it was much more difficult than the actual MCAT I took in August. I'm not sure that MCAT scoring ever neatly corresponds to the score conversion guides on the practice tests at any rate. But alas, I can only speculate and say that we'll *hopefully* have done better than we think. The general consensus on this forum indicates that our test was widely regarded as difficult, and that's a slight comfort.

This 30 day wait is so tortuous.

pfaction -- schools griping about pharm classes is just absurd. You've clearly demonstrated that you can handle a difficult course load, why does it matter that it's a pharm degree? I work(ed) in surgery and I had a friend that just grad from pharm who now is contemplating med school, so I've been getting him to shadow surgeries. Guess I need to give him the heads up about your situation. Did you go to STLCOP? My friends did their 0-6 program. Please say yes and please say you're a Cardinals fan....

You can't help yourself. Neither can I!

The curve all depends on the difficulty of the passages. I had a difficult PS section last time and guessed on 90% of the questions and I got a 9 and I swear I wouldn't have been shocked if I had gotten a 4. My bio section was easy and the curve was not generous at all. It varies a lot and it varies from version to version

For all you guys freaking out, my friend almost voided his test because of PS and he ended up with a 12 which is higher than he had ever gotten on a PS section before and I got one point higher than my highest. Verbal is what you need to be worried about. I was averaging 11s and got a 5. Verbal is barely curved at all from my understanding cuz a lot of people do really well on it. That's the only reason I had to retake. If I had gotten an 11 I wouldn't have retaken it...

Honestly, I can't remember if I did the first orgo passage on BS. I just remember looking at it, saying Dfkjadfasdf!!!! marking the passage to come back later..... but now I don't even know if I went back to even guess at the questions.

Ok man, i am in exactly the same boat. I see everyone talking about their upper 30s score and man, i am praying i even got upper 20s. i thought it was a difficult test. trust me, you are not alone in the feeling of desperation.

Don't anyone worry here, the more I remember about the test, and the topics, the more I realized I got wrong. I'm up to about 6 wrong for sure on PS, and 5 on BS. Here's an equation for you:

ME = 14

Nah that wasn't me. I was in a 3 person group with this brunette chick and a white dude.
