Default TMDSAS: How late can your MCAT score be released before you are at disadvantage?

Would a mid august release date be too late if I am verified by then?

There is no "right" answer to your question. Applicants will be screened for interview as soon as the admissions offices begin considering complete applications, shortly after they are submitted. As interview spots fill up with qualified applicants, your chances of being invited to interview diminish. The sooner you submit your MCAT score, the better.

No, at most schools high MCAT applicants jump to the top of the pile. The higher the MCAT score the higher you jump. Worry about the MCAT score and not when you get.

When you get the MCAT score it is too late to start worrying about what you did to prepare for the MCAT, so don't worry about getting the MCAT score when you should be worrying how you are preparing for the MCAT right now.

Best of luck, my signature speaks well of the medical school process.

I have never heard of this...might I ask what the source is? That would be very interesting if proven true.

Thank You

I wish to ask a related question. Is being a reapplicant unfavorable to an extent that one is better off applying early in the next cycle than applying this cycle with a late (mid to late August) MCAT score?

Applying early is always favorable, even for the ideal applicant. First time reapplicant status won't put you at a disadvantage if you've made significant improvements to your application since your last attempt.
