Loma Linda - make sure you agree with their lifestyle guidelines
UMDNJ's - from what I understand, these are not friendly to OOS at all
U Missouri KC - I believe they matriculate in January, so make sure you're okay with that

I thought I might include the UMDNJ's because I'm from the tri-state area, but I agree - OOS acceptance rates are slim.

Any input on MD chances?

Wondering whether to apply:
MC Wisconsin
Loma Linda -- make sure you're okay with the lifestyle agreement
U of Missouri KC -- this is in the process of transitioning from being a BS/MD only program, and I don't think they're OOS-friendly at all.

Creighton
VA Commonwealth
V Tech Carillon
UMDNJ's -- not OOS-friendly
Connecticut -- takes small number of OOS

SUNY's
Stony Brook
Michigan State -- very high OOS tuition

Einstein
Rochester
Miami -- has a cutoff of 3.6 cGPA for OOS unless that recently changed

Reach:
Tufts
Dartmouth
Brown -- fills a lot of its class from its BS/MD program so not many spots are open for MD-only applicants

UPenn

.
See comments above which may help you cut down your school list.

P.S. I know you probably just meant that your research thesis was great, but if your work actually was on creating super flies, that would be incredibly awesome.

Unfortunately just super-worms, no super-flies. They glowed. It was pretty awesome.

Thanks for the help!

Ah...I did Drosophila work myself so I get kind of excited whenever I hear about cool fly research.

You seem to be coming at this the right way: You have a good upward trend, helped to redeem your GPA with a great MCAT, have solid ECs, and plan to apply broadly. I would be really surprised if you didn't get at least one acceptance. Good luck.
