Default EK 1001 ridiculously hard?

Is it me or are many of these questions truly challenging?

I just finished going over the thermodynamic chapter and did over 150 questions. I think I got more than third of them wrong. After that, I decided to do some questions from TBR. On the three passages and the discrete questions I did, I got 20/28 questions right; that's 71%.

If you are talking about TBR gen chem discrete, 71% is not bad but it is not great either. In general, TBR gen chem discretes are a easier than the passages. You should aim for higher. I have the EK 1001 gen chem book but never used it...I realy dont know how hard it is, but I see people on SDN say that the physics is the most challenging of all.

I'm doing ek physics and i get a lot of them wrong too. It's difficult but that's "the ek way." they purposely give hard problems because everyone can answer easy problems. That's what they say in the intro of the lecture book.

I'd stick with it and grind it out. Don't get discouraged and look over the solutions to the ones you get wrong.
