Default Creighton Supplemental App questions

SDN Members don't see this ad. (About Ads)
Hey guys, if you are filling out the supp app for creighton, maybe you can help me with how this question wants us to answer.

It wants to know if there is anything else of importance that Creighton should know about me.

Im not sure what to put, except to reiterate what I've said in my personal statement and total application. Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance!

I'm having trouble with this as well. I spent months on my personal statement making sure I told them about myself, now they want more.....

Try not to over think it. This section can be an opportunity for you to break away from the strict application format and say whatever you want. I talked about what I did with my time off and why I thought I was ready for dental school.

I don't think it's a big deal if you can't come up with anything and leave it blank. They're not looking for another essay to read...especially if it's forced blabber. But here are some things to consider...

Tie yourself to the school. Make the personal connection. Your app and PS are beautiful, but they aren't catered to any specific school. Pretend for a moment that this is your #1 choice. Do you have any last words for them? Because they might be just that. If you applied to a massive number of schools or selected them superficially, this might take a little bit of homework on your part.

As was mentioned, this is the time to shine and standout especially if your sitting a the tail end or the middle of that pack (stats wise). Review your application. Is there anything you want to discuss further? Were those 175 character limits you struggled to stay under really all you had to say for those entries?

Show a little personality. I'm not talking about telling knock-knock jokes or anything. But they only know you from a list of things on your app and your statement. Maybe your statement is great, but most of the ones I have read are really serious and dry (which isn't necessarily a bad thing). Unless they invite you to interview, that's all they will know of you.

If you really think you've laid out your whole adult life on your application already and you feel like this is regurgitation no matter how hard you try, then submit and move on.

Thanks guys. I ended up putting something about my leadership roles during group study and outside the classroom and also my brief tribute to my volunteer work and related it to how they will help shape me into an exceptional dentist. I didnt talk about these things in my PS b/c i had more in depth things I needed to make a story out of in that.

Hey guys, have you received any sort of correspondence from Creighton? All I've gotten is a check cashed in my bank account. No e-mail or anything.

I have yet to receive anything either. My AADSAS status says received/under review for them though so I guess they have updated something.

Are you really received and under review? I have received/waiting additional information on my portal. I did my secondary and fee less than two days after submitting to AADSAS. I have a friend starting at Creighton this year and I think they might hold off until orientation is done.

I submitted my fee and secondary together about a week after I submitted my AADSAS application. I was in the first batch. They cashed my check 7/16 and this is what my AADSAS says.

I talked to admissions yesterday and they said that if you're improperly listed as received/waiting additional information, an update should hopefully be posted today. That's the only news I've heard thus far.
