Rotation in Winslow. I'll be housesitting for my friend in flagstaff and carpooling with my preceptor everyday to my rotation. I'm there for a month! Super excited!

I can't wait to stand on a corner in Winslow, Arizona

I'm done with my rotation this month.

It was hard to leave after just one month.

Oh nice! One step closer! Wasn't aware you were currently on rotations. I too would find it hard to leave a place I liked after just one month. I suppose that's the name of the game, though.

Yeah. A lot of it is up to the people at the site. I think I got lucky to meet great employees

In some places, it can take months before you feel comfortable with coworkers. But in that case, you've already left way before you feel comfortable.

Not so, I asked about the female singer avatar of yours, did I not?

Didn't you used to have a cartoon man avatar? I don't remember the details (was his name bob or something?) but I liked that one the best.

Was it the picture with a driver's license from a game that said "You Passed!"?

I don't think so. This was years ago. It was a short stout man with a long nose. He might have had a coffee cup.

Also, I love how weekend shifts can go from 'completely serene' to 'all hell breaks loose' in about 20 seconds.

Plus... new residents start tomorrow.

I think it has been a couple of years since I have gone out of my way to see fireworks. I always liked it when I could find a spot to watch like five different towns' fireworks at the same time. Otherwise I'm not a huge fan of dealing with crowds and traffic for fireworks.

I almost forgot. traffic for that on top of construction would be a nightmare.

do you guys have to deal with burn bans too?

I'm not sure about previous years, but right now there are 11 counties in the southern part of the state that has them in place until we get significant precipitation.

Rarely. Maybe this year since I don't have another shift until Sunday. But it doesn't seem anyone is doing anything overly fun, so I may just stay in and play Skyrim all night, and then do fun stuff for the rest of the week.

I had a magical moment with my son two years ago watching fireworks. Real bonding moment. The music is playing, he's sitting in my lap and I'm covering his ears with my hands. He said he was kinda scared of the fireworks, but he'd soldier on.

Then he peed in my lap.

We didn't go last year because the traffic was a PITA afterward, especially since I hate any kinds of crowds, and there were some inebriated drivers.

I tried playing Morrowind for a while, but I got too confused. How did people find each other in those towns back then?

I got as far as going across a lake after paying some guy, because I wanted to take a shortcut. Then it was ok until I had to find someone and I just could not figure it out using the clues they gave me.

This was before we were obsessed with google-ing and youtube-ing everything, so I didn't look up every step in the game.

So I found one of those QR code generators online. Apparently you can do a URL, Text, a Phone Number, and even a Text Message.

"Yeeeeaaahhh!!! Isn't this cool? Most people have no idea what it's for, but you with your smart phones have joined the club. Don't you just feel special? lol

Skyrim's map and compass will point you where to go if you need to get to a destination. And you can quick travel using the map if you've been to the destination before. Not sure if oblivion had that, this is the first elder scrolls game I've played. It'd be annoying if you had to walk all over the giant map the whole game.
