Default OCPM is dead! Long live KSUCPM!

SDN Members don't see this ad. (About Ads)
the two schools have officially merged, the signs at the college have changed to the new name and most importantly the class of 2016 Facebook group's name has changed!

Which two schools merged I never heard of a KSUCPM I assume that is the product of OCPM and (fill in the blank). So will they still enroll the same amount of students as the schools did when they were apart or are they cutting back admissions?

I believe the Ohio school was downtown in the heart of everything medical in Cleveland? Why did they move out to the sticks when there was a medial, dental, etc... school right there at Case Western and Cleveland Clinic, etc.....???? They were right near the University Medical Center when I had visited?

Merging with a generic undergrad school when they could of married up? I don't get it?

They even updated the website, which is awesome compared to the old one. I think this is a good move. Could lead to more research opportunities for students.

Their website still doesn't tell you the cost of attendance. (correct me if I'm wrong!)

Just visited there the day the sign was getting put up and everything! OCPM is merging with Kent State and will become Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine. However, OCPM will not be relocating and will now be technically a regional campus of KSU.

Since Kent State is an Ohio public university... does that mean for this year's (and future) admissions, they will favor Ohio residents? (As an out-of-stater, I certainly hope not )
