Default which is the hardest NBME?

I know they are supposed to be comparable to each other, but which one does people usually feel is the hardest one? I'd love to take it early in my study schedule to avoid getting scared mere days before I take the exam

“Christian optimism is not a sugary optimism, nor is it a mere human confidence that everything will turn out all right. It is an optimism that sinks its roots into an awareness of our freedom, and the sure knowledge of the power of grace. It is an optimism that leads us to make demands on ourselves, to struggle to respond at every moment to God's call.”

12 for me.

I personally think it depends on your strengths. Some NBMEs may hit your strengths, while others hit your weaknesses.

Varies for different people, but the hardest for me was 12.

I'd say 12. 13 was tough, but mostly because it's new and lots of the material wasn't in FA... yet. I bet 1 year from now everyone will think 13 is pretty average, but 12's questions were just wtf sometimes. I actually thought it was a poorly written test compared to the others, but that's just my opinion

Thanks a lot guys! I took NBME 12 and scored 214, 8 weeks away from my exam (Aug 31st). Do you guys think I could increase my score to >250 in that amount of time? I already finished my 1st pass of everything so I'm just going to go over the material as many times as possible.

Eight weeks away and a 214: I'd say you could probably do it. I would focus on core concepts if I were you. Slowly add in those details, but really make sure you understand concepts and mechanisms.
