- You will need USMLE steps 1,2 &3 as long as you are going to encounter patients directly.
- You can look for a non ACGME accreditated fellowship but downside is you can't practise in US after completion of same. - Have known a few people who came and joined such a program eg. liver transplant fellowship and after completion joined surgery residency and completed the whole residency (sort of doing it backwards and all over again!!!) Good Luck And I don't know how good the non ACGME accredidated programs are nor their locations. |
