SDN Members don't see this ad. (About Ads)
I graduated in 2011 and this is my second time applying for d-school (2013). The only thing that I'm doing that is dental-related is shadowing a local dentist. I'm now considering 10 week dental assistant program at a local college while waiting to hear back from d-schools. Do you think it's a good idea? That way, I'll have something to say to this question "Did you do anything dental-related in the past 2 years?" Thanks for your input! |

I guess it doesn't hurt to take the courses if it doesn't cost too much. I took one years ago and it cost me $1000

I thought about doing that too if I don't get in my first year applying. I talked to my dentist about it and he told me not to bother. He told me just to keep volunteering and shadowing and to try to improve my gpa or DAT scores.
