Thoughts?

Verbal 461, 99
Biology 446, 97
Reading 410, 69
Quant 420, 82
Chem 418, 78
Composite 431, 95

Obviously I am happy with the composite...but concerned that the chem will be an issue for any top schools...

I used Collins, and thought that was most helpful for verbal and quant. Organic chem and biochem suprised me, I was expecing basic stuff and I started to panic halfway though. Biology was similar to the practice pearson tests...very random (some really easy and some crazy hard).

I took it today as well:

Verbal- 74
Biology- 89
Reading- 54
Quantitative- 82
Chemistry- 93
Composite- 87

I am pretty happy with my scores, considering that I only used the latest edition of Dr. Collins to study from. I definitely give Dr. Collins a

Wow i took mine yesterday and the score was horrible you did great and you should be happy.... would you be willing to sell your latest version of dr collins becasue all i studied with was his 2009 version and that was a big mistake

I dont know what happened yesterday I am so upset, my composite was a 20 which I dont get how it is possible. I studied with Dr.Collins and Pearson Practice Test for both of the Pearson practice test I had composites in the 80-99 range and yesterday I get a compoite of 20 any feedback would be greatly appreciated must take this over again.

These were my prelims:
verbal:82%
bio:91%
RC:88%
Chem:72%
Quant:91%
Comp: 91%

mainly worried about chem since its an outlier

Okay, seriously? Congrats to everyone who did well on the exam, but I did not have the same experience. I studied all summer for this and had taken it once before (not even going to post what I got the first time around). I started studying mid-may up to a couple of days before the exam, for about 4-5 hours a day. I went through the entire Kaplan Science book, used Dr. Collins practice tests and used it for micro, biochem and organic, and also took the 3 Pearson practice exams (all within 2 weeks before the exam). On the practice test I scored between 60-80 in Chemistry and Biology, Around 50 on Verbal, around 90% on Reading and really low on QA (around 30) but still. That gave me a composite of around 70-ish.

Then came the real exam. My scores:

Reading: 26
QA: 21
Chem: 40
Bio: 55
Verbal: 30
Composite: 29

I have no idea what happened. I need some advice. I'm really discouraged and am not sure what step to take at this point.. Does anyone recommend the Kaplan course? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks all!

Hey,
Do still your PCAT study material I'll love to take it off your hand at fair price email me [email protected]

I have taken the PCAT twice, the fist one was bad and the 2nd one was way better but still not what I want nor need. I used the Dr Collins review both times and it don't seem to be working any Ideas on what I should do because I just registered again for September
i think Dr. Collins did a good job, i used it for bio, math, and chem and i got 91 on bio; 96, 97 on QA and chem. verbal and reading i really dont know how to improve that though cuz my score on these two are very bad comparing to everyone that posting their scores here. but still I think composite 78 should get me in one of the school i want

Verbal: 91
Biology: 89
Reading Comp: 97
Quantitative: 96
Chemistry: 99

Composite: 98 :D

First time test taker here. Will it be considered a golden ticket to pharm school? One can only hope.

Took a Pearson PCAT practice test to evaluate my standings in each of the categories in order to assess areas that required more studying than others. Since it had been 2 years since I had taken calculus I brushed up on some common calculus topics seen on the practice tests by watching videos on Kahn Academy (Introduction to limits through more limits).

Biology: ………………………...80% 38/48

Took the remaining pearson practice tests. Studied all questions that I missed on the pearson practive tests by reading the question and writing the correct response.

Make sure to time yourself if you're not doing so already and you should have a general Idea of whats on the test and never forget "its not what you can do...its what you do" that matters.
