any data you find on this isn't really going to be relevant as the class sizes have exponentially increased with accreditation last fall. the applicant numbers have sky rocketed as well. try not to worry about it too much, good luck!

Its been two weeks since the online app was submitted & 1 week since they got the confirmation page n such in the mail. I've been emailing them but not getting very far. All my requirements are in online yet it says "incomplete" but I havent heard from anyone as to whats incomplete!

It's been a week since VMCAS closed, and they are likely swamped under an enormous amount of applicant material. Don't stress, they haven't forgotten you. A similar delay happened to me when the deadline for august applications came- lots of last minute stuff meant I was buried for some time.

Interview granted! Now to set up time/place since I live outside of the US.

Um, I'm not sure. I would assume there are no alumni in the Philippines, so I'm wondering if they'll make me wait until January when I'm in the Midwest. They told me I was offered an interview on Oct. 4th, so hopefully they get back to me soon! I think I'll start harassing Krista on Monday...

This site has some of the stats that yall were asking about. Incoming students GPAs, how many that interview get accepted. This was from before the accreditation was announced so it has probably changed some. Good Luck on you interviews. Hope to see yall in Jan or Aug

I'm actually in Florida for a week, so they scheduled it for this week. Not sure what they would have done otherwise....
Definitely send them emails.. I harassed them about every other day to "check in"

Hello everyone! I was accepted into sgu's vet program!! I just sent in my deposit and i have my plane ticket for january 12 arriving the 13 th!!

Is anyone else worried about getting everything there?? I have 2 checked lu
ggage pieces and one carry on. I bought the spinners and love them. Im hoping the small spinning luggage piece will double for lugging books around campus! Thoughts ideas? ???

Yea congrats!!! You only really need the luggage when you go to pick up your books other than that you wont take all of them with you everywhere. At most you will have some notes and you anatomy lab book other than that the rest of your books will stay in your room. Don't bring any nice designer luggage as it will get tore/ bent/ you name it on the planes. The small piece will be nice to bring a few things with you on the plane as most luggage gets delayed getting there and you will wont some extra clothes with you. Getting here isnt that big of a deal as long as you have patients. I had a 4-5 hr plane delay in dallas which made me miss my connection in Miami so I stayed in Miami for 2 extra days waiting on the next flight to grenada. I could have flown all over the place and got there the next night but I couldnt do that with my dog. so we enjoyed our last few times of american food and went shopping!

hey c/o 2017 - in case you're worrying about hurricanes, i've been here for 2 hurricane seasons now, and my family on the east coast has had 2 hurricanes, we've had 0 hurricanes, tropical storms, or tropical depressions (Ross was hit by Rafael a few weeks ago when it was a TS). we are pretty much too far south to get any of them and in the last 100 years, we've only had 3.

Living in Jamaica I've been through a few hurricanes... The best part is that you can prepare for them!

My SGU interviewer said he went through one in Grenada.. but they quickly moved them to Trinidad and they spent the rest of the semester at a school in the US.

Congrats to those who have found out they are accepted. Any questions feel free to send a message. I haven't been here too long but but i'm in in my second semester. Best word of advice is to be laid back and go with the flow and not to stress about the little things

Submitted all the supplemental stuff earlier this week! Now all i have to do is wait!

Hey everyone... Anybody know if the Jan 2013 term is full yet or if they're still accepting? I'm still waiting to get the final word from SGU. Ross accepted me for May since their Jan term is full & was pretty much full from the time of my interview. Really hoping I can get in for SGU January!!!!

I'm leaving and arriving on the 15th - I got a sweet flight out of LAX -> MIA, 1:30 layover then off to GND Total travel time 11.5 hours with no delays!

I'm totally on the FB page, I saw you on there a week ago but didn't know if I should add you. (I asked the question about binders.)

Ya I was surprised to hear back so soon considering they are busy with January admissions. I still owe them a transcript since I am finishing up Physics (final tomorrow) and will be taking Genetics in Jan. My interview was in Oct. Let me know when you hear back! Good luck! Lindsay

I applied for pre vet but then reapplied for vet medicine after I found out I only needed 2 classes (genetics and biochem) and there is no financial aid for prevet. I sent my transcript yesterday and am so nervous! I think Ive read previously that people have been accepted less than a month away from the semester start, has anyone had that experience?

People have joined the acceptance group as recently as 2 days ago. But I would assume that they had submitted a couple weeks ago in order to have the interview n such. So they might put you to the August start...

Had my interview back in July, they have everything else and are literally waiting for just one transcript. I emailed it to Krista she said she would take the unofficial for now, but now is telling me the committee is waiting on my official transcript from my school, which I'm having overnighted on Friday. I spoke with another SGU student who says she found out she was accepted Dec 8th and was on the island Jan 6th! Just a bit nerve wreaking!
