Wow, that was a very informative post about the MCAT and the different factors behind taking it. It is also inspiring! You don't see people jump from a 34 to a 43 very often at all. If anyone ever wondered what makes Q qualified to be a moderator in the MCAT discussion forum, they need to wonder no longer.

Thanks for your insightful comments Q. As a non-trad applicant myself, they mean a lot to me. And yes, I would try to cut down on my SDN time so that I can study for the MCAT!

Using Bernouli's equation, and assuming ideal fluids with negligable viscosity, deduct how much wood a woodchuck chucks if a woodchuck could chuck wood.

Great story, Q. You sound like a true genius, who has the intelligence and strong dedication. You'll make a fantastic doctor, I'm sure.
I'd suggest interviewing MCAT instructors who have scored well on MCATs. They can not only provide us with insight on how they were able to score so well but they can also give few pointers here and there about studying for MCATs. Just a thought. |

She definitely helped me out a great deal!
Also, I think one of the most important things that she says about Verbal is that noone can tell you for sure which strategy will work. Everyone thinks in different ways so everyone may have slightly different strategies. Its up to you to put in the practice time to find out which strategies are the best for you! Read what the higher scorers each say about verbal and then take what works from their strategies and discard those things that don't work for you. Practice, practice practice! Thanks for the 20Qs, Q. (I couldn't help myself with that. )

Heh, here's the funniest part: when I first became an MCAT mod, the other mod was Arsenic. So he and I were Q & A.
![]() V, you should do your own 20 questions. I am sure a lot of the MCAT folks would be interested in reading it. |

That was really good! Q, you definitely put in a lot of work to get that score and go through your path to med school. I really respect that. Thanks for the Q&A.
