The AHRQ final report is due to come out in about 9 months. People I know who are involved in the process tell me that the recommendation will be to decrease the maximum hours from 80 to 56 per week. The unresolved issue apparently is whether the number of years of residency training will be lengthened and by how much (for example will IM be changed to a 4 yr. residency, etc.) Last edited by exPCM; 05-20-2008 at 07:28 PM. |
