I think all of those shows are fake as hell. I went to the Jerry Springer show here in Chicago, and they did a horrible job trying to make it real. During the question and answer segment my buddy got to tell this cross dresser he looked in his red dress. Immediately the chant, "KISS HIM," began. We dragged him on staged and he layed a big wet one on the cross dressers bearded cheek. lol

I went to a taping of The Ricki Lake Show back in its hey-day... what a train wreck.

The stories were real but, like Dr. Grumpy's blog, embellished for TV.

Yeah I think they're really fake too. My first year in college The Real World was being taped in my hometown (very small town) so whenever I went home they were always there. My friend lived right across the street from them and some of my guy friends got jobs as security just standing outside the house. It was completely embellished for TV drama. They told me that one time during a fight the girl got out of the van and shut the door and the producers were like "Can you do that again and slam it harder and yell louder?"... I dunno but supposedly they were always doing stuff like this to make it seem more interesting and dramatic.
