Mine must have been one of the ones that would not open. I'll post here in case that is still the case tomorrow.

I had the same experience with Denver. I looked up last years invite dates and they were around Feb. 9 so I think with the new system and what time they went out last year, there is still hope!

Has anyone had the honor of hearing from SUNY Albany yet? Their invites went out around this time last year?

AlaskanJustin or others - can anyone confirm or deny that additional U Illinois-Chicago invites are being extended via POIs? In past years it appears they were all sent the same day (even from different POIs).... Still holding out hope for this one, but don't know if it's good for my sanity.

FYI... I was curious about the Yale thing since someone posted and said they had already accepted 4 people and they were done. So I called the program assistant and she said that they have not even extended interview invites yet. Professors have chosen their "short list" but it needs to be approved by the dean and should take at least another week. Remember they only do phone interviews. So if you applied to Yale, don't count yourself out yet.

I just called them and was told that the POIs are still making their decisions. They confirmed that final decisions have not yet been made. Cause for hope, perhaps!

Does anyone know anything about Indiana Bloomington interviews? Maybe I just missed it, but didn't see interview dates listed on last year's thread. Also don't think interviews are mentioned on their website. Do they not do them?

I got an interview call from Alliant/ CSPP in SD on Jan, 25 through phone call by the admissions counselor. I applied for the PsyD in Clinical psych.

I just contacted both of these schools and they both have not finished sending out interview invites. They both should be complete by next week.

Just in case anyone was wondering.

IU Bloomington is doing interviews Feb 19 for their clinical phd program

What I have read in regards to this is first try to reschedule them or schedule phones interviews. If you can't then you take priority of the schools that are higher on your list. If they are the same priority than go with the cheaper school.

The only thing you can do... call each school and explain your dilemma. This happens often - they won't be surprised. One or more of them should be able to interview you on an alternate day.

If they're following their past schedule they will be reviewing them today at their faculty meeting and notifying next week.

I finally encountered this problem today. I had already accepted an invite for February 19th (apparently every school's favorite day) and got a phone call from another school inviting me for that day. I said that I already had an interview that day. The person said we can arrange either a phone interview (although they stated that is harder to get an impression of someone which I already knew) or that I could fly out a different time. I'd just miss the whole "formal" interview day activities but I could still meet with who I needed to. I agree that you should do the in-person one at the school of your preference and then do either a phone interview or come a different day at the other schools.

Now it only lists feedback from interviews that occurred this year (not at all helpful since none of my interviews have occurred yet). Am I looking in the wrong spot? I have asked Loyola University Maryland (PsyD) if there is any other day I could interview on/ have a phone interview, and they said no. Does anyone have any idea about how many people interview at this school vs. how many are accepted (350 applicants/25 offers/19 incoming in 2007). The dilemma now becomes that I would prefer to go to this program over the other, but I think I would have a better chance of getting into the other one.

Have you tried talking to the other program and seeing if they're flexible?

Yes, Feb 19th is a hot day! I actually already had plane tickets and everything when I heard from 2 more schools with interviews the same day! One school was flexible, so I moved it to the following weekend. The other school didn't have an alternate date, and it was tied with the school I already had arrangements for so I didn't want to cancel one for the other...

I ended up taking a phone interview with the 2nd school. I don't know how strong of a match you can establish over the phone, but if it goes well I will ask to visit "unofficially" and meet with him/her.

Kind of a stressful situation, but at least you have choices! Better than the alternative (no interviews)!

Also, I see the SUNY-Buffalo has already sent rejections, but it doesn't look like (on this site anyway) that anyone has reported interviews. Does anyone know anything about this? Has SUNY-Buffalo extended interviews? If so when?

Ughh super jealous!! Any indication of whether every POI is letting their invitees know today or if it will be over the next few days? I know we don't have the same POI because I am applying to the behavioral medicine track :-)... can't wait to hear from them!

Are interviews taking place both days or are interviewees given the choice of one or the other?
