Default Clerkship question

Question about Navy clerkships: can I split up my 6 weeks of AT time for a fiscal year to do multiple ATs? My situation:

I want to do a family medicine clerkship with the Navy. Unfortunately I would need to do this begining in September, and it's a 6 week clerkship, so I'd overrun the fiscal year by 2 weeks. Can I use 30 days of my 2010 AT time, and combine it with 2 weeks of my 2011 AT time, while still allowing myself 30 days of time to do another clerkship late in 3rd year? Alternatively, can I do 6 weeks there, but 2 of them as a civilian?

You can't split ATs, but you can have the school orders at the beginning vice the end. You can do 2 weeks as a civilian though. There will be a catch however. They will likely make your travel reservation for the last day of your AT. This is OK. You have a full fare ticket that you can change without cost. Simply call the airline directly and make the change. DO NOT try to change it through SATO or HPSP. It will only give you a headache.
